Let x = the number
Then, x + 1/x = 10/3
Multiply through by the LCD, 3x, to get 3x2 + 3 = 10x
3x2 - 10x + 3 = 0
(3x - 1)(x - 3) = 0
So, x = 1/3 or x = 3

see what we have done first we took the lcm of x and 1/x. Then we cross mutipy it after cross multiplying with 10/3 we splitted by splitting by middle rerm method by which we got the 2 values x one is 1/3 and the another on is 3 try to solve it if any problem persist u can ask from me
