Sum of two (not necessarily different) prime numbers with the same parity (both odd or both even).

We begin by defining what a prime number is.

A prime number is a number divisible by one and itself.

We can have a list of prime numbers as follows.

We have 2, 3 , 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31..

These are just some of them.

From here we see that the only even prime number we have is 2.

We can get sums of odd numbers as follows:

1) 3 + 3 = 6

2) 3 + 5 = 8

3) 5 + 7 = 12

4) 11 + 13 = 24

From the sample additions above we realise that the sum of two prime numbers with same parity gives even numbers.
