Step-by-step explanation:

let x and y be the no.

given

x+y=15 -------1 x-y=7----------2

add both eqaution

x+y+x-y=15+7

y gets cancled

2x=22

x=11

put x=11 in eqaution 1

x+y=15

11+y=15

y=4

therefore x=11 and y= 4

Given

we have given that sum of two numbers is 15 and their difference is 7.

To find

we have to find the numbers

\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Since, we don't know the numbers let us assume some Variable for numbers

let the numbers be x and y

According to the question:

x+y= 15[ sum]----------(1)

x-y= 7[difference]-----(2)

Add Equation 1 and 2

=> x+y + x- y = 15+7

=> 2x= 22

=> x= 22÷2

=>x= 11

Now,find y

x+y= 15

=>11+y= 15

=> y= 15-11= 4

y= 4

Check:

sum of two numbers is 15: 11+4= 15

difference is 7: 11-4= 7
