Second no. = y

X + y = 51

And

X - y = 11

By eliminating

X + y = 51
X - y = 11

2x = 62
X = 62/2
X = 31

Put in eqn
31 - y = 11
-y = - 20
Y = 20.


Now xy = 31 x 20 = 620
