Bigger number is 20 more than smaller , therefore bigger number = x + 20

ATQ →

Sum of both the number is 84

x + x + 20 = 84

2x + 20 = 84

2x = 84 - 20

2x = 64

x = $\dfrac{64}{2}$

x = 32

Let the larger number be 'x' and smaller number be 'y'

According to question:-

Put the value of 'x' from equation 1) in equation 2)
