sum of two number is 95. if one excced other by 15, find the number​

Let the 2 number x and x + 15

Now , according to question

x+x+15 = 95

2x+15=95

2x= 95-15

2x=80

x=40

The numbers are 40 and 40 + 15 = 55

Solution:-

$\rm{Let\:the\:Numbers\: =\:a,b}$

So, a = 15+b

A.T.Q

$\sf{a+b\:=\:95}$

$\bf{Put\:value\:of\:a=15+b}$

$\sf{15+b+b\:=\:95}$

$\sf{2b\:=\:95-15}$

$\sf{2b\:=\:80}$

$\sf{b\:=\: \frac{80}{2}}$

$\sf{b\:=\: \frac{\cancel{80}}{\cancel{2}}}$

$\sf{b\:=\:40}$

So,

$\sf{a\:=\:55}$
