Let the first no. be x

then, the second no.= x + 15

according to your question,

x + ( x + 15 ) = 95

or 2x = 95 - 15

or 2x = 80

or x = 80/2

x = 40

Hence the 1st no. = x = 40

& the 2nd no. = x + 15 = 40 + 15 = 55.

                    = 2x = 95 - 15

                    = 2x = 80

                    = x = 80/2
