Let the smaller number be x and greater number be y . Therefore by 1 given condition x+y=100_ 1. Therefore by 2 given condition 3x = 2 y therefore 3x- 2y = 0_2 multiply eq 1 by 2 we get. 2x + 2y = 200 _ 3 therefore eq 2+ eq 3 implies we get x = 40 now substitute this value of x in eq 1 we get y = 60 therefore the smaller number is 40 and bigger number is 60 .hope it helps you
