Answer:

let the numbers are x and y

so,

x+y=15

again ,

x^2-y^2=15

(x+y)(x-y)=15

15(x-y)=15

x-y=15/15=1

so the difference of these two numbers is 1

Answer:

(b) 1

Step-by-step explanation:

let one number = x

Other number = 15 - x

ATQ

x² - (15 - x)² = 15

x² - ( 225 + x² - 30x) = 15

x² - 225 - x² + 30x = 15

30x = 240

x = 8

other number = 7

difference = 8 - 7 = 1
