Answer:

So, Let's assume that the numbers are X and Y respectively.

As per the first equation, the sum of the numbers is 35. hence , the equation:

X + Y = 35 Equation (1)

As per the second part of the question, the differnce of the numbers is 13. hence, the equation:

X - Y = 13 Equation (2)

Adding Equation (1) and (2),

X + Y (+) X - Y = 35 (+) 13

2X = 48

X= 24

Putting the value of X in any of the equation,

X - Y = 13

24 - Y = 13

Y = 24 - 13

Y = 11

Hence, the numbers are 24 and 11 respectively.

All the best.

To Find :- The numbers.

Let us assumed that the two numbers be x and y.

x + y = 36 -- ( 1 )

and,

x - y = 13--- ( 2 )

Add equation (1) and (2) then we get :-

2x = 48

x = 24

Now Subtracting equation ( 2 ) from ( 1 ) we get :-

2y = 22

y = 11

\implies\boxed{\mathsf{Hence\:the\:two\:numbers\:are\:24\:and\:11.}}
