\huge\bold{Answer:-}

Given:-

  • The sum of two numbers is 40 .
  • One is 10 more than the other number.

To Find:-

  • The Numbers.

Solution:-.

Let, the one number be x

The other would be x + 10

ATQ

⟹ x + ( x + 10 ) = 40

⟹ x + x + 10 = 40

⟹ 2x + 10 = 40

⟹ 2x = 40 -10

⟹ 2x = 30

⟹ x = \dfrac{30}{2}

⟹ x = 15

Therefore the numbers are 15 , ( x + 10 ) = ( 15 + 10 ) = 25

So , the numbers are 15 , 25 .

hence , option c is correct .

Step-by-step explanation:

It is very simple, by basing on options..

given information is,

Sum of two numbers is 40.

in option (c) the sum of two numbers 15+25 = 40.

and also, one of them is 10 more than the other.(given in question) that means one number is 15 and other number 25 is 10 more than the 15 (15 + 10 = 25).

so, it is satisfies the question.

in other three options, the sum of two numbers are doesn't equal to 40 and also one of them is not 10 more than the other.
