x + y = 43 ----------- (i)
x - y = 13 ------------- (ii)

ADDING (i) & (ii)

x + y + x - y = 43 + 13
2x = 56
x = 28

SUBSTITUTING x in eq (i)

28 + y = 43
y = 43-28
y = 15

ANSWER -------

Difference = 13


Suppose the nos. are x and y


=> x+y = 43 ---------(1)


=> x-y = 13 -----------(2)

(1)+(2)


x+y+x-y = 43 + 13

2x = 56

x = 28



Substitute x value in equ (1)


x+y = 43

28+y = 43

y = 43-28

y = 15



x = 28 , y = 15



Therefore, the two nos. are 28 and 15.
