first statement is sum of two no is 60

x+y = 60......(1)

x = 60- y.......(2)

3x = 2y

x = 2y/3

putting x in equation 1

2y/3 +y = 60

2y+3y/3 = 60

5y = 180

y = 36

x = 60-36 = 24
