\huge\underline\green{\textbf{Given :-}}

\green{\textbf{Sum of two numbers = 74}}

\green{\textbf{One of the numbers is 10 more than the other.}}

\huge\underline\red{\textbf{To find :-}}

\red{\textbf{The two numbers.}}

\huge\underline\green{\textbf{Solution :-}}

\green{\textbf{Let the one number of them be x.}}

\green{\textbf{A.T.Q.}}

The sum of the two numbers x and x + 10 is 74.

This means that x + (x + 10) = 74.

⇒ 2x + 10 = 74

⇒ 2x = 74 - 10

or 2x = 64

\green{\textbf{Dividing both sides by 2,}}

x = 32

\green{\textbf{This is the first number (x) = 32.}}

\green{\textbf{The other number is x + 10 = 32 + 10 = 42.}}

\huge\green{\textbf{Therefore, the desired numbers are 32 and 42.}}
