Sum of two numbers is 76. If one exceeds the other by 16, find the numbers.

Answer:

$let \: the \: no \: be \: x \: \\ so \: x + x + 16 = 76 \\ 2x = 76 - 16 \\ 2x = 50 \\ x = 50 \div 2 \\ x = 25$

So first no is 25 and second no is 25+16=41
