Let x be one number and y be the other.

x + y = 8  ------- eq.1

And 1/x + 1/y = 8/15

Taking LCM on LHS

 x + y/xy = 8/15

From equation 1 ,we get x + y =8

8/xy = 8/15

8 on LHS and RHS gets cancelled out

The we get , xy = 15

Therefore, the two numbers are 5 and 3 , 3 and 5

Since by adding 5 and 3 we get 8.... and also by adding 3 and 5 we get 8...
