Solution :

Let ,

• The first number be x
• And second number be( 10 + x)

According to question :-

= x + (10 + x ) = 85

= 10 + 2x = 85

= 2x = 85 - 10

= 2x = 75

= x = $\dfrac{75}{2}$

= x = 37.5

Value of the numbers ,

• 1st number = 37.5
• 2nd number = 37.5 + 10 = 47.5
