Sum of two numbers is 95. If one exceeds the other by 15, find the numbers.​

Given :-

→ Sum of two numbers = 95

→ Let 1st number be = x

According to the question :-

→ Sum of no. = 95

→ x + (x + 15) = 95

→ 2x + 15 = 95

→ 2x = 95 - 15

→ 2x = 80

→ x = 80/2 = 40

Ans 1st no. x = 40 , 2nd no. = x +15

= 40 + 15

= 55.

⟼ Let the First number be x

⟼ Then Second number will be x + 15

According to the Question :

➞ x + ( x + 15 ) = 95

➞ 2x + 15 = 95

➞ 2x = 95 - 15

➞ 2x = 80

➞ x = 80 / 2

➞ x = 40

Therefore :

  • First Number = x = 40
  • Second Number = x + 15 = 40 + 15 = 55
