Let the first number be x
second number be (x+15) // one exceed other by 15 //
sum of the number is  given by x+(x+15) = 95
x+x+15=95
2x+15 = 95
2x =95-15
2x = 80
x=80/2
x =40
first number x=40, second number x+15 = 40+15= 55
The numbers are 40 and 55.

Given - the sum of two numbers is 95. If one number exceeds the other by 15

Find - Number

Solution - The number is 55

Let the one number be x. Another number, as per the question will be (x + 15). Now, the sum of these two numbers is 95

So, x + x + 15 = 95

Performing addition to finding the value of x.

2x + 15 = 95

Performing subtraction to find the value of x.

2x = 95 - 15

2x = 80

Performing division to find the value of x.

x = 80/2

x = 40

So, the number is x + 15

Number = 40 + 15

Number = 55
