Here , Let the first number be " X "

Now , Second number will be ( X + 16 )

According to the question / -

( X + 16 ) + X = 98

= > X + X + 16 = 98

= > 2X + 16 = 98

= > 2X = 98 - 16

= > 2X = 82

= > X = 41

Hence , the first number will be 41 .

Now , the second number will be / -

= ( X + 16 )

= ( 41 + 16 )

= 57

Hence , the second number will be 57 .

Therefore , the two numbers are 41 and 57 .
