If we divide smaller number by greater number we get 3/10 it is the ratio of that number
let the numbers be 3x and 10x
by the given condition
3x+10x=52
13x=52
x=4
3x=12
10x=40
so the numbers are 12&40

solution:-
let smaller number is = x
and
greater number is = y
According to question :
x + y = 52. .......(1.)
and
x/y = 3/10
=> 10 x = 3y
=> 10x - 3y = 0 .........(2.)
now ,
multiply by 3 in equation (1.)
we get ,
3x + 3y = 156 .....(3.)
now, adding equation (2.) and (3.)
we get ,
10 x + 3 x = 156
=> 13 x = 156
=> x = 156/13 = 12
now, putting the value of x in equation (1.) we get ;
=> 12 + y = 52
=> y = 52 - 12 = 40
Hence ,
Required numbers are 12 and 40 answer
