According to question
x+y = 70.....(i)
y/x = 4
y = 4x......(ii)
Putting this value on equation (i)
x+4x = 70
5x = 70
x = 70/5
x = 14
Putting thos value on equation(ii)
y = 4x
y = 4(14)
y = 56
So the numbers are 14 and 56.
