\</strong><strong>b</strong><strong>o</strong><strong>x</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>d</strong><strong>{</strong><strong>y</strong><strong>=</strong><strong>8</strong><strong>}

putting this value in(3) we get

Answer:

x + y = 88 __________(1)

x/y = 10_____________(2)

i.e.x = 10y

put x = 10y in equation 1

10y + y = 88

11y = 88

y = 88/11

y = 8

now put y = 8 in the equation 1 we get the value of x

x + 8 = 88

x = 88 - 8

x = 80

Hope it will help you
