Step-by-step explanation:

let the other number be x

according to the question

x + (-6/7) = 3/11

x - 6/7 = 3/11

x = 3/11 + 6/7 (L.C.M of 11 and 7 is 77 so we have to make both the denominators 77.For that we have to multiply 11 by 7 and 7 by 11.What we have multiplied the denominator with we have to multiply the same number with the denominator.

x = 3*7/11*7 + 6*11/7*11

x = 21/77 + 66/77

x = 21+66/77

x= 87/77

therefore the other number is 87/77
