Let the other be x,

2/3 + x = -5/4

x = -5/4 -2/3

x = (-15-8)/12

x = -23/12

-7/12 should be subtracted.

I hope this will help you

let 'x' be the other rationale number.given one rational number is 2/3... we have x+2/3=-5/4. x=-5/4-2/3...x=-15-8/12. x=-23/12..
