sum of two rational numbers = 3/11

one number = -6/7

second numbers = ?

let second number be 'x'

According to question,

 \frac{ - 6}{7}  + x \:  =  \frac{3}{11}

x =  \frac{3}{11}  +  \frac{6}{7}

x =  \frac{21 + \: 66 }{77}

x =  \frac{87}{77}

Hence the second number is 87/77
