Sum of two rational numbers is -4/3 . If one of number is -5/3 , find the other ?
Let the other number x
The first number be -5/3
So, the equation is,
x + (-5/3) = -4/3
=> x = -4/3 +5/3
=> x = -4+5/3
=> x = 1/3
So, the other number is 1/3.
