let a and b are two numbers
a + b = 12
ab= 35 ......... 1
a=12-b......... 2
puting the value of a in equation 1 we get
(12-b)×b = 35
12b - b^2 = 35
multiplying whole equation with minus
b^2 -12b +35=0
b^2 -7b-5b +35=0
b (b-7) -5 (b-7)
(b-5) (b-7)
b=7 , b= 5
hence two number are 5 and 7
