EXPLANATION:

Let the age of Rema be x

Age of Suma = x + 4

Let the age of Uma be y

Age of Suma = y - 3

x + 4 = y - 3

x + 7 = y

The sum of  the ages of the three girls is 29.

x + x + 4 + y = 29

Substitute y = x + 7

2x + 4 + x + 7 = 29

3x + 11 = 29

3x = 18

x = 6

The age of Rema = x = 6

The age of Suma = x + 4 = 6 + 4 = 10

The age of Uma = x + 7 = 6 + 7 = 13

VERIFICATION:

Suma's age = 10 is 4 more than that of Rema's age which is 6.

Suma's age = 10 is 3 less than that of Uma's age which is 13.

Sum of their ages = 6 + 10 + 13 = 29
