Suman wants to cover the floor of a room 3 metre wide and 4 m long by square tiles if each square tile is of side 1 metre then find the numbers of the tiles required to cover of the floor of the room

Width of the room= 3m
Length of the room = 4m
Therefore area of the room = length *width = 3*4=12m.square
Now, area of the square tile = (side) square
= (1)square = 1m.square
Therefore no. of tiles = 12/1=12 tiles
