Solution:

Total number of digits will be calculated by adding -

Number of digits in one digit page numbers = A

Number of digits in two digit page numbers = B

Number of digits in three digit page numbers = C

Thus -

Total digits = A + B + C

= ( 1 × 9 + 2 × 90 + 3 × 321 )

= 9 + 180 + 963

= 1152
