Explanation:

From soil the water enters the plant roots by osmosis. The the water vapour are continuously removed through the stomata in the form of water vapours. This process is known as transpiration. This creates a pullind effect known as the transpiration pull. The upward movement of water along with dissolved salts is know as ascent of sap.
