Answer:

There are four methods to manage waste: recycling, landfilling, composting, and incinerating. Each method has its strengths and weaknesses. Recycling can reduce pollution, save materials, and lower energy use. However, collecting, processing, and converting waste uses more energy than it saves. Besides that, landfills can reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the same time it may pollute the local water supply. Furthermore, composting has a lower risk of pollution and odour and it reduces land disease. Despite, composting needs large amount of time and money. Last but not least, incinerating requires very little space. Alternatively, skill operators are needed to incinerate wastes.
