T'he Snake Trying' by W.W.E Ross bring out the irony that human beings try to kill the snake out of fear of death by its poisonous bite. The victim,that is, Snake, on its part, flees out of fear of death when it was attacked. The fear of death is common to all living creature. Moreover, the poet wants to underline the fact that all snakes are not poisonous. It need not to be hit and killed. It is a beautiful creature and has much the right to live as we have.
