The historic moment when Tenzing and Hillary reached the top of the world was on 29th May, 1953, at the happy hour of 11:30 A.M. Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa of Nepal and Edmund Hillary of New Zealand were to face risky hurdles and dangerous threats to reach the peak of Mt. Everest which is at 29,035 feet above sea level.

             They had to face extremely cold weather, storm and lack of oxygen in order to maintain their journey. Hillary's boots suddenly got stuck as it was too frozen and that alone took him a couple of hours to bring it to normal condition.
