In the story tenzing had already tried to climb Mount Everest almost 5 times he had failed but yet he did not gave up and in the 6th time he did it. while climbing a mountain the oxygen level goes on decreasing and the risk with every step increases. there is a risk of life with every step even a small step could result in loss of life. Just by looking at the story we cannot judge the task if we had done it then we know thw actual value of it.

It caused slanting up and down. By the help of rope, they went over the dangerous ground. They were thirsty and tired. But finally they reached the top of the Everest.
