When the elderly man goes away to wash, the kids decide to eat from his earthen pots, only to bother him. But the kind old guy knew better and informs them that if he had known about the rats, he would have brought extra food. the boys didnt like him in the beginnning but eventually grow fond of him, when he buys them food. Soon after discovering that the old guy teaches Sanskrit, the boys invite him to teach the subject at their school. The boys' school secretariat welcomes the elderly man when they finally get to their destination. The kids are shocked to discover that the old guy is none other than their new Sanskrit teacher, Master Tarkalankar.
