• Chapter 4 begins with Kara getting to know that her mother is not going to come back ever as her father told her this, she jumped over the board and started swimming towards the shore as she was angry and did this out of sheer rage.
• When she saw that her father was heading towards the reserve of Marine along with their boat Moana, she decided to go to one such cove wherein most of the boats cannot enter. The cove she went to was dear to her as it reminded her of her mother who used to accompany her to this cove to get a sight of dolphins. She always hoped for a sign from her mother but failed always and gradually she lost hope. But suddenly, a pod consisting of a total of fifty dolphins came which included a rare white one and this was out of nowhere so Kora believed that it was a sign from her beloved mother.
• In Chapter 5, Kora made a decision to walk back to her place and started walking wherein a car stopped right next to her and it was her Aunt Bev who asked her to come inside. She told her how everyone including the police, the coast guard and her father were searching for her.
• After reaching home, Uncle Tom informed everyone that she was home and then her aunt scolded her for her act of punching Jake's nose who was the son of Tom's boss and it could affect his work. When her dad came in he hugged and apologised to her to which she forgave him and told him about the sign she saw. Aunt Bev told them to move past it and in the end, her father received a call wherein the caller was wanting to see their boat.
