I wrote this after ...reading the whole chapter...and found some important points.. which may help you..

Nationalist Movement in Indo-China...

Nationallist means the one who wanted to free his nation from colonial powers. Here Nationalist movement means a movement which was started to fought against the colonial power .indo-chinese countries include Vietnam Laos and Cambodia.

Here we are going to talk about National Movement in Vietnam..

First of all the French landed on the Vietnam on 1858..

Then they started establishing their control over Vietnam firstly they took some of the reforms in Vietnam ..

Like they established ports in Vietnam for promoting trade export and import..

They were facing problem because Vietnamese people's income only dependent on rubber and rice plantation so for gaining profit the French people started building the canal and Drainage lands

provide irrigation to the rice plantation. Vietnam became the third largest exporter of rice.

Then they also developed Trans indo chinese Railway system for connecting North Vietnam to South Vietnam.

They built infrastructure and buildings.

Also Transportation system for transporting the goods to European countries for gaining foreign exchange..

Not only they developed Vietnam but they also started established their culture in Vietnam.

They were against Chinese Buddhism and Confucianism culture

. They started to teach Western style of education in schools and established tonkin free school in 1907.

In this School Vietnamese student learnt the subjects including science and hygiene .

they also get to know about French physical appearance ...for example they need to cut their long hairs.

they were also taught French language books and practice French games like Tennis...

But in schools there were many movement which oppose French culture and French medium of instruction because students and teachers and other Vietnamese Nationalists began to understand that their culture had been violated due to Western style of education.

So for resisting this French culture they started movements in schools towns many Vietnamese student went to East countries like Japan for acquiring knowledge regarding weapons, wars...this was the go east movement.

Then Japan also attacked Vietnam but was failed to do so..

then on 1954 finally French was defeated by Vietnam and Treaty was signed between the French and Vietnam

in the Treaty the Vietnam was divided into two parts the South Vietnam and North Vietnam.

the South Vietnam was ruled by the BaoDai a puppet ruler and follower of French whereas north Vietnam was ruled by Ho Chi minh was communist ruler..

fearing about the spread of communalism in the countries USA enter the war..

Ho Chi minh trail was designed to fought against the US..

Women's also played an important role in this movement against US.

Woman named in Ngyuyen Thu Xaun short a jet with just 20 bullets

.this Shows that women bravely participated. ..

On 1974 US was defeated by Vietnam and Republic state was set up in Vietnam...

In this Indo Chinese National list movement there is a great role nationalists like Phan Boi Chau and phan Chu trinh..

who inspires Vietnamese who fought against French and US.

Though they both were having different ideas regarding Nationalism but there main motive was to drive out the colonial powers from their country.
