The story, "The Third Level" by Jack Finney is about revisiting the pleasures of the past. It is the story of a 31-year-old man named Charlie. While traveling back to his home, one day he found himself to be on the Third level of the Grand Central Station in the Ne York City. In that level he found the people wearing the outfits which the people used to wear in the past days. He finds the place very fascinating. Even he withdrew his money in order to buy the old currency notes. He told these things to his friend, Sam who is a psychiatrist. Sam concluded that these are a mere escape from the present reality to the beautiful past which is no more. The third level was the outcome of Charlie's imaginations. He had found an escape from reality through his imagination.
