Summary of death of a tree by D A Tressler:
In this story Ruskin Bond, explained the loss and progress by losing a tree. A tree which was outside of the narrator’s house was removed to make a new path. In his story he is explaining that the world is changing now, they are cutting tress to make a new bypass for vehicles. World will be no longer quite like it was used to before. Traffic noise that will pass through this bypass will make noises every time. Here not only trees are losing but narrator’s mind also losing their piece. PWD who is continuously cutting the trees have no any concern about the narrator’s feeling. He is feeling powerless because he cannot do anything.
