But Anne insists that they should love her for being herself and not because of her golden hair. Anne suggests that she can get her hair-dyed and colour it brown, black or red so that young men would love her for herself and not for having golden hair. The young man says that he heard an old religious man declare that only God loves you for yourself alone and not for your appearance or qualities.
