Faiz Amnad Faiz, the writer of ‘For your lanes my country’, was born in Punjab and a Pakistani leftist poet and an author. Thought he was born in a wealthy family, Faiz didn’t go abroad for his studies like some of his peers.

He studied at the Government college and also in Oriental college. He studied Lahore philosophy and English literature and completed an MA in Arabic. He started his career as a lecturer in Amritsar’s college.

Eventually, he took up writing as ahis full time profession. He is the most celebrated writers of Urdu language. He was also nominated for Nobel Prize in the Literature section. He won Lenin Peace Prize. Till today, he is one the most celebrated writer.
