miss Sullivan helen's teacher arrive on March 3 1887 and that time Helen was 6 years and nine months old. harsol without education she found herself riderless . hi design for school fees in the light of love shown on her. the person who had come to reveal has the mysteries of the world and held her lovingly. miss Sullivan gave Helen a doll sent by the children of Perkins institution. when she was playing with it , miss Sullivan spelled into her hand the word d-o-l-l . Helen liked this finger play and she tried to imitate . by spelling the letters correctly she felt very happy. slowly she was able to spell many words and she understood that everything had a special and a unique name . Sullivan and Helen went outside. the teacher placed her hand under the water and spelled into the other hand word w-a-t-e-r. there was a time when she could not distinguish between mug and water but now everything was clear. the mystery of language was revealed to her and gave new hope to Helen and she longed for a new day to come
