• Stanza 1: The artists are compelled to take care of what they do. It depicts how he and other bramble writers were not acknowledged. The harp is weighty with blood and sweat and the wreath is on their forehead. It depicts how their style of verse was dead. He gets down on Victor Daley and shouts with bliss that they are presently fashionable.
• Stanza 2:They were ridiculed and jeered at by the dukes and, surprisingly, the copyists. They were never treated in a serious way and ceased to exist. Yet, presently they are legends and vocalists and are fashionable.
