Also, the poet's tone is humorous. The poet has made fun of football by using the terms used in the sport (winger, dribbling, sweeper, etc.) and interpreting them literally. He used overstatements like “socks are on my arm” and “shin pad on my chin” to make fun of himself and also the sport.
