But before he could reveal his identity to Crane, Crane gives him an envelope consisting of money and a picture of his secretary and asks him to kill her. Nathan throws away the envelope in anger and dismay. The envelope was then picked up by a person who wanted the money. Finally, a juvenile was appointed to kill the secretary who was completely unknown to Crane.
