Looking for a cousin on a swing is about a swing no one wanted be on expect one cousin whose name was walrusguy. He sat there everyday for ten years until he realizes that slides are cooler and and super fun.
He points out in the poem that the title girl who had grown up and may be got married is unable to forget the pleasure of the swing.
She looks for the swing in the cities with fifteen suburbs where she has settled after marriage.
She longs the same physical touch and physical pleasure, doubtlessly the innocence of childhood is lost and maturity has knocked the door so the relationship has changed and the girl yearns for her past days.

A four or five year
old girl, the poet sat on a village swing with with her six to seven year old
cousin. Each time the swing moved forward, he pushed himself closer to her with
his innocent touch. They also used to climb a not very tall tree full of
leaves. Years passed by and the girl who was now a young woman moved out of the
village. She looked for the swing in all fifteen suburbs in the cities that she
lived in. She also longs for the same physical touch once again and pretends to
be innocent about her feelings.
