Prema Sangeetham or The Song Of Love is a famous poem in the Malayalam literature of Kerala, written by Ulloor S. Parameswara Aiyer. It describes the various aspects of love.(Prema refers to the highest form of divine love). The meaning of the first Stanza could be given as follows: There is only one religion, opinion or suggestion that one can make for following in this world, which is the life-giving force of Love. It is giving light to the entire world all the time like the full moon, showering its nectarian milk to all - appearing in various forms like devotion (bhakthi), conjugal love anurag), kindness, compassion (daya) etc. The first stanza can be transliterated like the following:
'Orotta mathamundulakinnuyiraam premamathonnallo,
Parakke namme palamruthoottum paarvana shashi bimbam.
Bhaktyanuraagadayadivapussapparaatmachaitanyam,
Palamattenthi paarithinennum prakaasamarulunnu.'
