The poem is all about the mirror. In this poem shows itself as it is not cruel, it compares itself to god. It says it not biased or not reflects according to the like or dislike of the person. The mirror says it meditate on the front wall which of pink in colour and had specks it says it gets distracted by the darkness and the face of the woman. It describes how the woman when she was young sees and when she ahs grown old sees. he woman after seeing her in the mirror does not belive that she is getting older day by day. She then turns herself towards the candles and th moon. She says that she feels like a fish out of water.
